How Long Do SARMs Stay In Your System?

The question “How long do SARMs stay in your system?” is extremely important and you should get an answer to it in case you plan to use SARMs. It is such an important question for numerous reasons.

For example, you want to make sure that SARMs are out of your system before you start a PCT plan because having SARMs in your system renders PCT useless. Moreover, you may need them to be out of your system if you plan to use other compounds that could have interactions, leading to adverse side effects.

Moreover, knowing when SARMs are out of your system is going to help you better understand the changes that your body undergoes. One last thing – in case you have an upcoming drug test, then you need to ensure that SARMs are out of your system so they won’t appear on the test. The drug test is perhaps the most common reason why people need to know how long SARMs stay in their system. This is likely the reason why you’re asking this in the first place. That is completely fine and there’s no need to worry about it.

Factors Influencing How Long SARMs Stay in Your System

Most studies that were performed on SARMs did not take into consideration some very important factors such as the weights of participants, their metabolic rate, genetic make-up, the amount of SARMs used, and the length of time that they were using SARMs.

That is extremely important to understand because, when a study suggests that MK-2866 (Ostarine) metabolic rate can be detected in urine for up to 9 days, this may not be necessarily true for you. So, it is important to understand that how long SARMs stay in your system can vary from one person to another. It depends on various factors that influence the duration of SARMs in your system. Some of the most important factors include:

The more you weigh, the less time it will take for a SARM to leave your body. And that’s true the other way around, if you weigh less, the SARM will be removed from your system more slowly. That is why, if a 200 lbs person uses 10 mg of Ostarine, they will need less time for it to be flushed out than another person weighing 100 lbs using 10 mg of Ostarine too. They will have different outcomes when it comes to the duration of SARM metabolites in their system due to the weight difference.

Metabolic Rate

Each person has a different metabolic rate and these important factors are often overlooked. The metabolic rate will determine how quickly any chemical is flushed out of the system. The metabolism greatly depends on your gender, age, level of physical activity, hormones, diet, lifestyle, and so on. It is quite obvious that a person with a fast metabolic rate will remove SARMs from their systems much faster than someone with a slow metabolism.

Genetics also comes into play. Some people are born under a lucky star, and their genetic makeup allows them to quickly gain muscle or expel SARMs from their system. Others, however, are not so unfortunate. Genetics is pretty much the only thing we do not have any influence upon.

Dosage and Cycle Length

The dosage you use and the cycle length you use of a SARM will also play a huge role in how fast that SARM will be flushed out of the system. A person using 30 mg/day of RAD140 for 12 weeks will find that the compound stays in the system for significantly longer than a person using 10 mg/day of RAD140 for 6 weeks only. Despite the fact that RAD140 half-life remains the same, without any changes. In short, the more you take, the longer the SARM will stay in your system.

Time SARMs Stay In Your System

Some people mistakenly believe that the half-life of a compound is going to determine how long it is going to stay in your system. The half-life is an extremely important thing to consider and it does influence it indeed. However, this is not actually true because of metabolites. Those are small traces of the compound that remain visible even after the compound is completely expelled from your system.

This is the reason why a compound with an 8 hour half life could stay in your system for longer than a 24 hours half life compound. Simply because the metabolites of the specific compound could stay for longer.

So, you should learn more about the half life of each SARM. But do not assume that it is the amount of time it takes so it won’t be detected in your system. It is because of metabolites.

So, now we’re going to go through each SARM. We will check what science and/or anecdotal reports are saying about how long SARMs stay in your. We’re also going to talk about Cardarine (GW501516), Ibutamoren (MK677), and Stenabolic (SR9009). That’s because they are commonly associated and used with SARMs.

Ostarine (MK-2866)

There’s a study suggesting that Ostarine metabolites can be detected in urine for up to 9 days after last consumption. The anecdotal evidence suggests around the same time. But it is safer to stay away from it for at least 10 days to ensure MK-2866 is out of the system.

Ligandrol (LGD-4033)

Studies were also done on LGD-4033 in humans. They suggest that the metabolites of this SARM can be detected for up to 22 days in urine. This proves that metabolites play a huge role in determining how long a compound can be detected. That’s because both Ostarine and Ligandrol share a similar half-life. Yet, the anecdotal reports also suggest that this time is longer, at least 30 days would be required to pass the drug test. That’s how much it needs to be completely gone from the system after the last administration.

Testolone (RAD-140)

Research conducted by the Antidoping Center of Moscow reveals that a single dosage of 10 mg of RAD140 can be detected in urine for up to 8 days! No reports and no studies can suggest the exact amount of time that RAD-140 needs to be removed from the system after a bodybuilder uses it for 8 weeks. Yet, still many tend to believe that it is up to 3 weeks. Yet, it is not clear for how long Testolone stays in your system. So, I would say that at least one month is required.

Andarine (S4)

Andarine S4 SARM is a compound that has conflicting information on its half-life. Not to mention how long this SARM stays in your system. There is no clinical study suggesting the longevity of Andarine’s metabolites in humans. Simply because studies were stopped in the early stages. So, all we can rely on are the anecdotal reports that suggest that 2 weeks is the maximum amount that S4 SARM can be detected in urine. Yet, nobody can confirm this.

There’s a study performed on the in vivo metabolism of YK11 which suggests that the metabolites could remain traceable for 48 hours or longer. So, the study indicates that it is at least 48 hours or more, yet, doesn’t indicate how much exactly. Some anecdotal reports claim that YK-11 will flush out of your system in about a week or two. I wouldn’t use it for at least 2 weeks before considering myself clear of it.

Unfortunately, there is very little information regarding S23 SARM in terms of how long it stays in your system. While there are studies available on S23 SARM, they lack human studies. Another problem is that there are not even enough anecdotal reports considering that not too many people have used S23 either. So, I must say that there’s very little information regarding how long S23 can stay in your system. If I had to estimate, I would say that at least 2-3 weeks are required from your last dosage to expect all the S23 SARM metabolites from your system.

Ibutamoren (MK-677)

You must be very careful if you’re about to be tested for MK-677. I must remind you that this is not a SARM. Still, it is found in the list of prohibited substances of WADA and USADA. There’s a study done in the Manfred Donike Workshop about it. The study suggests that a single dosage of 10 mg of Ibutamoren was enough to keep it traceable for 2 weeks. And that’s just one metabolite, not to mention that various traces of Ibutamoren are there. What does this mean? That at least one month is the time that you should aim before your body can completely get rid of Ibutamoren. Yet, it is very likely for this time to be significantly more, such as 2 or even 3 months! USADA claims to monitor MK-677 misuse through blood tests!

Cardarine (GW-501516)

Cardarine is a very popular compound and lots of studies were done on this compound. Research suggests that the metabolites of GW-501516 in human urine can be traced for up to 40 days! You must stay away from it for 6-7 weeks to make sure that it won’t be in your system. It is not a SARM, but still on the list of prohibited substances. Moreover, there’s GW0742 which is a similar compound with similar effects. But with 10 times fewer metabolites in urine than GW501516. This makes GW0742 a better compound than Cardarine, at least when it comes to detection windows.

Stenabolic (SR-9009)

There is not much data available on the metabolites and the detection time of SR9009. Yet, one study done in 2016 suggests that SR9009 (or SR9011) metabolites cannot be traced in urine unless using LC-MS. Yet, I must mention that the study was done in 2016 and by this time, testing methods have surely improved. Also, considering that there’s not much information available, all we can do is guess the detection time of Steabolic, which we estimate to be 2-4 weeks.

This article has full information regarding the question “How long do SARMs stay in your system?”

ostarine-mk-2866Most SARMs and similar compounds related to SARMs seem to be traced for approximately 2-3 weeks. Yet, there are others such as Cardarine that it takes up to 40 days to completely disappear from the system. There are others such as Ibutamoren that are unknown for sure. It could be up to a month, or it might as well be 2 to 3 months.

I hope that you’ve learned something helpful in this article.

Moreover, keep in mind that this is all true only as long as we talk about real SARMs. Unfortunately, some SARM vendors mix their compounds with other unknown substances which can be potentially dangerous. You should make sure to buy only from reputable SARMs vendors. Use for all your needs, ensuring the best quality compounds on the market for sale. Also, for the best possible prices, from the best manufacturers out there.
